1. I want to make a reservation. Where do I start?
First of all, welcome to YAWA!
To start, go to the top of this page and click on the “Caravan Rentals” option.
Start by choosing your campervan, the pick-up and drop-off dates aswell as locations.
You can also add various extras available on our list, or submit a personalized request.
To finish it off, proceed with the payment thus formalizing the reservation.

2. Can I bring my pets?
Of course, we're Pet Friendly, still, please contact us in advance so we can review your request.
Fees are applied for vehicle cleaning.
Any damage caused will be the charged to the costumer in contract.
Last but not least, Portugal has a mandatory use of a pet carrier and/or animal seatbelts.
If requested previously we can arrange for those to be in the van.
3. How do I make the payment and what documents do I need?
The available payment methods are: Stripe | Visa | Cash | Bank Transfer
At the check-in you must have on you: Citizen Card/Passport and Driver's License
Credit card with sufficient credit limit for the subscribed deposit.
4. Where and When can I pick up and return the vans?
Firstly, at our Headquarters in Lisbon, which is located less than 10 minutes from the Airport;
At Lisbon Airport (additional fee of €50.00 per trip);
At certain Train, Bus or Hotel stations in the City of Lisbon (additional fee of €25.00 per trip);
In the Cities of Porto or Faro (additional fee between €200-€250 per trip);
Any other location, in Portugal or abroad, only upon analysis.
Requests for early check-in are subject to approval based on calendar availability and have a cost of €30.
Check-In Times:
From 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM
From 10:00 PM to 9:00 AM – €60.00
Check-Out Times:
From 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Before 9:00 AM – €60.00
5. How to check out?
Unless a different delivery location is requested and approved, check-out must be done at the Headquarters.
We cannot guarantee the same service at other locations.
The vans will be inspected together with the customer to verify their condition.
In case of delay, please inform us as soon as possible so that we can better manage the situation.
If check-out is done outside our normal business hours, an extra fee will be charged.
Check-outs with delays not communicated in advance may be subject to staff availability.
If necessary, we have a transfer service available.
6. What insurance options are available?
There are 3 insurance options: Basic, Standard and Plus.
We advise you to confirm all the features and conditions in the "Protections and Extras" tab or read Point 7.
7. Security deposit. What is it?
This is the extra amount paid when picking up the motorhome, which can be used to cover liability for damages caused.
The amount of this deposit will depend on the insurance option you choose: €2500 for Basic, €950 for Standard and €500 for Plus.
This amount will be blocked for a period of 20 days after check-out.
It may be deducted if there are any tolls to be paid.
In the case of fines, we will forward them to your contact and inform the authorities.
8. What happens in case of a breakdown or accident?
In case of a breakdown or accident, first check if everyone is okay.
Afterwards, contact YAWA to report the incident.
If roadside assistance is needed, we will provide it.
9. Can I change my booking details?
Any changes to dates, check-in, check-out, and other details will depend on the availability/approval of YAWA.
Depending on the season in which the rental is based, the price may change.
If you wish to cancel your booking, please contact us using the phone number associated with the booking.
If you cancel your reservation 30 days before check-in, you will receive a full refund.
10. Under what conditions should I return the motorhome?
The chemical toilet and the waste water tank must be properly emptied and cleaned.
All extra equipment included in the reservation must also be clean.
The fuel level must be the same as at the time of pick-up.
If the spare gas cylinder has been used, it must be returned with another properly sealed one.
Additional fees may apply in case of non-compliance.
