1. As for COVID-19, am I protected?

Your safety, as well as the safety of our employees, is our top priority!
In addition to the reinforced disinfection and hygiene measures that were already used, with the systematic use of disinfectants, we also implemented additional measures such as certified antibacterial cleaning of our vehicles and a "zero contact" policy (vehicle key sealed in an envelope after being disinfected).

2. I want to make a reservation. How do I do?

For the ONLINE reservation, in the “Reserve” option, start by selecting the date and place of pickup of your vehicle, as well as the date and place of delivery.
You can still add any of the available extras from our list at this stage.
In case of doubt, you can always contact us with any questions.
The next step is to proceed with the payment thus formalizing the reservation.
We emphasize that after payment there are no costs to add to the final amount, ex-cept of course in case of damage, but the amount of which should not exceed the amount of the deposit made at check in, and any fees that result from non-compliance with the contractual terms / clauses.

3. Can I change my reservation details?

A change of dates, check-in and check-out locations and other details will depend on the availability and approval of YAWAVANS. Adjustments to the amount may be made depending on the dates of the rental. If unfortunately you have to cancel the reserva-tion, please contact us or send us an email from the same account you used for the reservation. In accordance with our Terms and Conditions, we will proceed with the cancellation and refund of any payments. If you need to cancel your reservation more than 30 days before check-in, you will be refunded the full amount.

4. How can I make the payment and what documents do I need?

Currently, the payment methods available are as follows:
At check-in you must have:
Driver's Citizen Card
Drivers' Driving License
Credit card with sufficient ceiling for the deposit subscribed.

5. At what locations and at what time can I pick up or return the campervan?

At our Headquarters, in Lisbon, which is located less than 10 minutes from Lisbon Air-port;
At Lisbon Airport (additional fee of € 50.00 per way);
At certain Train, Bus or Hotel stations, in the City of Lisbon (additional fee of € 25.00 per way);
In the cities of Porto (additional fee of € 150.00 per way) or Faro (additional fee of € 120.00 per way);
Some Airports in Spain (additional fee of € 190.00 per way);
Any other location, in Portugal or abroad, upon request for a quote.
You can pick up and return the motorhome at any time.
Opening hours: Monday to Friday - 9 am to 5 pm.
Outside these hours, on weekdays:
From 6 am to 9 am and from 5 pm to 10 pm - € 25.00.
From 10 pm to 6 am - € 30.00.
Weekends and holidays:
From 6 am to 8 pm - € 35.00.
From 8 pm to 6 am - € 40.00.

6. How can I check out?

If not specified otherwise, check-out must be done at the Headquarters where, after-wards, we can include a transfer service to the airport, with an extra fee. In other loca-tions, we cannot guarantee the same service, as it is dependent on local availability. At check-out, the vans are inspected with the customer in order to identify potential damage and condition. In case of delay, this should be transmitted to us as soon as possible. Then, we will inform the operational person in charge of the case and apply a potential late fee if the check-out is done outside our normal operating hours, in ac-cordance with our terms and conditions. Cases of delay not communicated in advance may be conditioned by the availability of the staff.

7. What kind of insurance can I have?

We offer 3 insurance options: Basic, Standard and Plus. And since each one has its specificities, there is nothing like confirming all the characteristics and conditions in the “Protections and extras” tab.

8.Security deposit? Why? And how is it paid?

The security deposit required for the reservation corresponds to the amount of liability for damage to the motorhome. The amount of this deposit will depend on the insur-ance option you choose during your booking: 2000 € for Basic, 750 € for Standard and 350 € for Plus. This amount will be blocked on the credit card for the duration of the trip and can be deducted up to 20 days after check-out if there are damages or unpaid tolls. In case of fines, drivers will receive them at their home.

9. And what happens in case of breakdown or accident?

In the event of an EMERGENCY or a MALFUNCTION, you must first remain calm and contact YAWAVANS services, to inform about the occurrence.
If direct contact with the travel assistance is necessary, that service is provided by YA-WAVANS.
Subsequently, you must carefully follow all the procedures described in the TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

10. Can I bring pets?

You can take your pet in this experience, applying only a fee of 40 € that covers the cleaning of the vehicle. However, we cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle that will be charged to the renter.
We note that for the transport of animals in Portugal in vehicles there is legislation that must be complied with so that they can travel safely, for this you must have a car-rier box or a seat belt suitable for dogs.
YAWAVANS offers this type of seat belts.

11. In what conditions should I return the campervan?

It must be returned clean as it was on the day of the pickup, and with the chemical toilet emptied and clean, the dirty water tank properly empty, as well as all the extra equipment included in the reserve, which must be delivered clean. The motorhome is delivered with the fuel tank filled, and, at the time of return, it must come in the con-dition it was delivered at the time of pickup. It will also be delivered with a reserve gas cylinder, duly sealed. When returning the vehicle, it must also contain a sealed cylinder.
